I'm Christy Dodson, a Certified Professional Photographer and proud holder of a Photographic Craftsman degree. With over two decades of experience behind the lens and a passion for teaching, I’ve spent much of my life helping others learn to see the world differently — not just through photography, but through a deeper lens of faith, psychology, philosophy, and human connection.

I love helping people discover new perspectives, both through the camera lens and in life. Whether it’s shifting how we view a scene or how we approach a challenge, changing perspective can open doors to creativity and growth. My faith has been the guiding light through life’s ups and downs, helping me find purpose in every moment, and humor has been the trusty sidekick keeping me grounded and joyful along the way.

What makes The Inspired Eye more than just a platform for beautiful images is the story behind it. My unique view of the world has been shaped by a lifetime of extraordinary experiences: from living in Alaska, Iran, the Cayman Islands, and even a 1600s castle… to teaching high school photography and music, directing plays, caring for dozens of children over 5 years as a house parent, and walking through beauty and adversity alike.

Through all of it, my faith, curiosity about literally everything and love of philosophy have been life saving anchors — reminding me to look beyond the surface and approach life with deep hope, grace, and gratitude.

Whether I’m behind the camera, mentoring aspiring photographers, or sharing quiet reflections through my imagery, my goal is always the same: to inspire others to see creatively and find beauty, joy and meaning in every frame.
